Sour Gas Plant Reburbishment
REBL was involved in a major refurbishment project at a large sour gas facility in Alberta, Canada. The work involved a comprehensive refractory inspection of critical process equipment, with a primary focus on the sulphur train – including the reaction furnace, waste heat boiler, converters, reheaters, sulphur condensers, waster heat incinerator, and incinerator stack. Additional equipment such as superheaters and direct-fired heaters located in other areas of the plant were also assessed in detail for refractory conditions.
The scope involved detailed assessment of refractory conditions, identification of wear and failure zones, followed by the development of a tailored, site-specific repair plan. Throughout the project, REBL also provided detailed reporting and quality assurance services to ensure that all work met industry and client-specific requirements.
