Impartial Refractories Engineering Consulting

REBL’s engineering consulting services provide end-users with refractory technical expertise that maximizes equipment reliability and refractory life, while minimizing down time and total cost of ownership.

REBL works with client project managers, turnaround planners,  and reliability engineers throughout the many phases of a refractory project, giving advice on refractory design, project execution, and future maintenance considerations.

REBL strives to provide our clients with a better understanding of refractory design and maintenance requirements, with the goal of improving long-term reliability of their refractory linings.

Our Expertise

Our consulting team has hundreds of years of combined refractory experience, and all our staff is API 936 and/or API 982 certified. Our team comprises of engineers specializing in refractories, with backgrounds in ceramic, mechanical, civil, and other engineering disciplines, as well as senior refractory inspectors with backgrounds in refractory bricklaying and all methods of refractory installation. Our engineers often work in the field, inspection in-service linings and monitoring refractory installations, which ensures that our recommendations are backed with first-hand experience in what we’ve seen work.

Through our various backgrounds and over the course of hundreds of projects, REBL has developed a strong knowledge of refractory industry standards and best practices, as well as alternative solutions for refractory problems. We are committed to providing our clients with an increased understanding of new and used refractories in their process units, and helping them make cost-effective and timely decisions, whether on capital projects, during turnarounds, or unplanned emergency outages.
